Medical Certificate for Recreational Diving

Are you planning to start a diving course, or do you need a medical certificate to continue diving? Diving organizations such as PADI, SSI, NAUI, and GUE use health questionnaires to determine whether you need to undergo a medical examination before diving.

If you answer "yes" to any of the questions in the health declaration, you may need to be evaluated by a doctor with expertise in diving medicine.

Medical Requirements for Diving

Certain medical conditions may make diving unsuitable, while others may be compatible with diving following an individual assessment. For example, seizure disorders, asthma, and diabetes may require special consideration based on the individual’s health and circumstances.

The assessment is based, among other things, on your health, any diagnoses and treatments, and the type of diving involved. Certain medical conditions may require additional examinations or medical documentation before the assessment can be completed. This may affect both the time required and the cost. If this becomes necessary, we will inform you of what is needed.

Medical Certificate for Professional and Recreational Diving

Do you need a medical certificate for professional diving or construction diving? The medical examination is more comprehensive than for regular recreational diving.

We conduct medical evaluations for professional and recreational divers with EDTC-certified diving physicians.

Cost: 5,500 SEK.

Please note that this applies to professional and recreational diving, not smoke diving.
