Medical Certificate Railway

What kind of certificate is that?

for staff with duties relevant to road safety such as: metro drivers, tram drivers, commuter train drivers, those who direct or supervise rail traffic, those who assess vehicles or track installations; Includes Category 19 certificate. It is a specific study with a particular focus on vision, hearing and freedom from addiction. The rules that govern are:

• The Swedish Transport Agency's regulations and general advice (TSFS 2019:112) on the health examination and health status of staff with safety-critical tasks in the railways.
• The Swedish Transport Agency's regulations and general advice (TSFS 2019:113) on the health examination and health status of staff with duties relevant to the safety of metro and light rail.

Depending on the employer and the duties, costs for drug tests and additional examinations may be added. Please note that we do not currently provide assessment and certification for Train Drivers.
