Medical Certificate for a Canceled Trip

Medical Certificate for a Canceled Trip

Have you become ill or been injured and had to cancel your trip? Your insurance company may request a doctor's note as supporting documentation when you apply for reimbursement for a canceled trip.

What is included in the assessment?

The doctor will conduct a medical evaluation of your symptoms and how they have affected your ability to travel. The certificate is issued based on the medical evaluation and available information, taking into account the insurance company’s requirements and questions.

Please bring any forms and instructions provided by your insurance company. If you have been in contact with a healthcare provider or have been hospitalized for your condition, please bring any relevant medical records or other medical documentation.

Important to Keep in Mind

Always check the terms and conditions of your insurance company before booking an appointment with us. Some insurance companies require that the medical certificate be issued before the departure date and do not accept retroactive certificates.

A doctor's note does not automatically mean that the insurance company will grant compensation. It is up to the insurance company to determine whether the conditions for compensation have been met.
